About additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing (AM), sometimes more known as industrial 3D-printing, is a technology that can produce physical parts directly from digital 3D-models. It is an advanced manufacturing method that has increased in popularity and use cases in recent years, and is now used for everything from prototyping to critical components. 

The benefits are; 

  1. Quick – The technology does not need part specific tooling. 
  2. Green – You use the material you actually need.  
  3. Resource efficient – Few and competent operators are needed. 
  4. Local – The technology are space efficient, and opens up for local opportunities. 
  5. Complexity – The technology can produce parts with a complexity that is impossible any other way.
